Bexar County is now included in Governor Greg Abbott’s winter weather disaster declaration. Abbott added 85 counties to his earlier disaster declaration on Sunday, bringing the total to 219.
As of Sunday, the state has deployed nearly 11 thousand responders and more than 49-hundred vehicles and pieces of equipment to help Texans dealing with sub-freezing weather.
The effort involves the participation of state troopers, TxDOT, the National Guard, Parks and Wildlife, and many other state agencies.
