Some Texas bars will be able to open at 50-percent capacity in a week. Governor Greg Abbott announced Tuesday afternoon it will be up to county judges to decide if bars can start accepting patrons.

The expansions apply only to certain regions where coronavirus hospitalizations are less than 15-percent of hospital capacity. Abbott shut bars down in late June citing the coronavirus pandemic.
