Governor Greg Abbott is worried the illegal immigrants being brought into Texas for processing will spread coronavirus. He says the kids will stay at the handful of shelters across the state, but the adult workers and volunteers are going home every night, which could spread the virus. At some processing centers, coronavirus rates among migrants are as high as ten-percent.

Abbott says state officials want assurances from the Biden administration that more will be done to stop the spread of the virus.
