Abbott: West Texas Sheriff’s Deputies Didn’t Deserve To Die

Texas Governor Greg Abbott is promising two West Texas sheriff’s deputies will not be forgotten after being shot to death in the line of duty.

Abbott called Monday night’s killings in Concho County senseless saying it’s a solemn reminder of the risks law enforcement officers take. He wants people to pray for the community.

The shooting happened last night in Eden, about 160 miles northwest of Austin. Nicholas Jeffrey is under arrest in connection with the killings.
