About 10% Of RGV Now Fully Vaccinated For COVID-19


About ten-percent of those currently living in the Rio Grande Valley are now fully vaccinated for COVID-19. Data from the Texas Department of State Health Services shows that 18-percent of the Valley has received at least one dose of the vaccine as of Friday.

Starr County leads the way in terms of percentage, with more than a quarter of its population getting at least one shot. Hidalgo County leads all Valley communities in the number of people vaccinated overall, with just over 145-thousand having gotten at least one dose.
