An Alamo man is facing a possible life sentence after being found guilty of killing a Donna High School student. Jurors deliberated for about four hours before finding 23-year-old Carlos Conreras guilty of murder Wednesday.
Investigators say Contreras shot and killed 18-year-old Genero “Izzy” Castillo near Donna Lake in 2020. Contreras will be sentenced on Monday.
