The Alamo is accused of going “woke.” Land Commissioner Dawn Buckingham lashed out at a post to the Alamo’s social media site, celebrating Indigenous Peoples Day. She called it “unacceptable.”
The post recognized Native American’s history at the Shrine of Texas Liberty. Republicans have been pushing back on efforts to downplay Columbus Day, which was Monday.
