Ribbon has been cut on a key part of the Alamo’s makeover plans. The new Alamo Promenade will be a gateway to the Shrine of Texas Liberty, featuring statues of historical figures.
Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick says there will also be historical markers, telling visitors about Texan history from early settlement to statehood.
