Arrest Made After High Speed Chase

A suspect is in custody in Cameron County after a high speed chase with police. Fernando Cabrera Junior was arrested late Sunday. He went through a stop sign near a traffic enforcement control point set up at FM 800 and the Frontage Road in Harlingen.

Cabrera was later stopped by a Cameron County Constable who took him to the La Feria Constable office for processing. Cabrera tried to escape but was caught and booked into the Cameron County jail.
