Austin Police Response Delayed Over Lack Of Available Officers


Austin Police response gets delayed due to a lack of available officers. The APD statement says on Sunday morning it took 12-minutes for officers to respond to a call about a shooting.

The statement says no units were immediately available to respond when the call first came into dispatch. Once officers did arrive they found one person at the scene near East Highway 290 who was shot in the head. The victim is now in the hospital in critical condition. No arrests have been made.
