As Texas prepares for the first deliveries of a coronavirus vaccine, Austin health officials say it’s amazing a vaccine has been developed so quickly. Dr. Mark Escott, the interim health director of Austin Public Health, describes the development of a vaccine in less than a year as a “remarkable feat.”
Dr. Escott says there could be some challenges as the first doses arrive, but he’s confident things will go smoothly as the distribution chain improves in the coming months.
