Austin-Travis County Isn’t Moving Back To Stage 4 Yet


Despite reaching the threshold to move down to Stage Four, Austin and Travis County will remain in Stage Five COVID guidelines for the time being.

Health authority Doctor Desmar Walkes says her department wants to ensure the recent decline in hospital admissions is a sustained trend. The area can return to Stage Four guidelines if the seven-day average of admissions is under 50. It moved below that threshold last week.
