Austin-Travis County Now In Stage 4 Of COVID Risk-Based Guidelines

Austin Public Health is lowering the COVID guidelines in the area to Stage Four.

According to health authority Doctor Desmar Walkes, the decision was made because the seven-day moving average of hospital admissions has stayed under fifty for more than a week.

In this stage, fully vaccinated people are still urged to wear a mask in public, but those high-risk are no longer discouraged from dining out or traveling. Anyone in Travis County still unvaccinated is asked to stay away from gatherings both public and private, and to get the shot as soon as possible.
