Authorities are investigating after a teen was wounded by a stray bullet over the weekend.
Hidalgo County deputies were called to the 36-thousand block West Mile Eight in rural Mission just before 2 p.m. on Saturday. Investigators say the 15-year-old was unloading groceries from a vehicle when she was wounded in the cheek and ear area.
Sheriff Eddie Guerra said that deputies would pursue all available leads to catch the person responsible for such a reckless act.
