Bee Swarm Sends Four To Hospital In McAllen

Several people are recovering after being stung by a swarm of angry bees in McAllen.

The fire department says six people were stung and four needed to be taken to the hospital after the bees began swarming around a house on Cedar Avenue yesterday. Two of the injured were in critical condition after being stung but are expected to recover.

Firefighters and animal control personnel removed a large honeycomb from the walls of the Cedar Avenue house and expect the remaining bees to scatter to other locations.
