The fate of Texas’s new Ten Commandments law will be debated today before a federal appeals court. Judges on the Fifth Circuit will hear arguments on two lawsuits.

One from Texas and one from Louisiana, which has a similar law. Opponents argue the laws violate their First Amendment right to religious freedom.
