President Biden wants federal regulators to investigate whether oil and gas companies are behaving illegally.  Biden wrote a letter to the FTC chair and said costs for those companies are going down, but gas prices are staying at a high level.  Triple-A says the national average for gas is a little over three-41 a gallon with the western U.S. being hit especially hard.  Biden says oil and gas companies are earning big profits and he won’t stand by as Americans pay more for gas due to potentially illegal behavior.  The President says the FTC should use every resource it has if any wrongdoing is discovered.
