Bond has been set for a student arrested for allegedly making a threat against Edcouch-Elsa High School. Seventeen-year-old Natasha Juliet Vargas has been charged with felony reporting of a false alarm or emergency and making a terroristic threat, which is a misdemeanor.
The Elsa teen reportedly made a false report of a student with a gun that caused a lockdown at the school on Monday. Vargas was booked at the Hidalgo County Jail on Tuesday, with bond set at 60-thousand dollars.
