The U.S. Border Patrol says dozens of people were arrested earlier this week at a suspected stash house in Mission.
Federal agents assisted by Hidalgo County deputies and the Texas Department of Public Safety carried out the operation on Monday. Investigators found 43 undocumented people hiding in a small trailer.
Conditions in the trailer were described as substandard and unsanitary. The people found inside the trailer came from multiple countries, including Mexico, Guatemala, Peru and Ecuador.
