The superintendent of the Brownsville school district says he’s disappointed that voters rejected two proposals to help improve district facilities.
Voters rejected measures that would have paid for 385-million in campus improvements, and another that would have funded a new performing arts center.
Superintendent Jesus Chavez said the district will work on ways to pay for needed upgrades like window repairs and air conditioning improvements. Voters in the Pharr-San Juan-Alamo school district also rejected two bond proposals on Tuesday.
