Brownsville Roman Catholic Diocese To Keep Mask Mandate


The Brownsville Roman Catholic Diocese is keeping its COVID-19 face mask mandate in place. The move comes as Governor Greg Abbott announced last week the state wide mandate goes away this Wednesday and remains voluntary thereafter.

Brownsville Bishop Daniel Flores says social distancing and mask use will remain intact during Mass celebrations and other church activities. Bishop Flores says in his view, now is not the time to stop using caution.
