Brownsville To Join McAllen In Testing Released Illegal Immigrants


The city of Brownsville is joining McAllen in giving COVID-19 tests to illegal immigrants caught and released by the Border Patrol.  The Texas Division of Emergency Management has sent the city ten-thousand test kits that they will begin using tomorrow.  McAllen has also received thousands of the kits and is testing released families at the Catholic Charities Humanitarian Respite Center.  The tests in Brownsville will be administered by city employees.
