Brownsville To Use American Rescue Plan Funds For Broadband Network


The City of Brownsville will use about 20-million-dollars in American Rescue Plan funding to improve its broadband infrastructure.  The city announced this week that it plans to install 95-miles of high-speed fiber as part of its Middle Mile Broadband Network initiative.  The mayor of Brownsville says the project will help make high-speed Internet more affordable and will attract more people and businesses to the city.
