By A Brownsville company that was the target of multiple lawsuits over pollution concerns has shut down permanently. Millwhite Incorporated closed yesterday as part of an agreement between the company and the city of Brownsville.
The city filed a lawsuit earlier this year over manufacturing that was allegedly causing damage to the health and safety of nearby residents. The location will be renovated and will reportedly be used for a hardware store.
