Bystander Wounded In Road Rage Incident In Rio Grande City

A bystander is recovering after being wounded by a road rage suspect in Rio Grande City.

Investigators say a 31-year-old was involved in a road rage incident in the 100 block of Second Street yesterday afternoon. The man allegedly fired a shot into the air, striking a bystander who was walking toward a nearby business.

The bystander was hospitalized in stable condition. Two children were in the vehicle with the suspect, leading to charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and endangering a child.
