By An annual event designed to promote community health in Cameron County has been canceled. Operation Border Health 2025 was scheduled for July 21st through 25th at Los Fresnos High School.
A Facebook post from Cameron County Public Health says uncertain funding and staff reductions led to the cancellation of the event. Officials hope it will return next year. Similar events that week in Hidalgo, Willacy and Starr counties are still on the calendar.
