Cameron County Says Waste Services Provider In Breach Of Contract

Cameron County considers its waste removal service provider to be in breach of contract.

On Tuesday, the county commissioners agreed that Republic Services is liable because of its long delays in getting bulk trash and brush picked up.

County Judge Eddie Treviño Junior says some community members are complaining their piles of bulk trash haven’t been picked up in weeks or months in some cases. The county is giving Republic 30 days to catch up.
