Capitol Police Arrest Man Unlawfully Carrying Gun Near House Office Building

Capitol Police say they have taken a 71-year-old man into custody for unlawfully carrying a gun and 20 ammo rounds while parked near House office buildings.

On Wednesday, officers came upon a vehicle parallel parked near the Rayburn House Office Building. They made contact with the suspect and learned a pistol was in the center console. The suspect was arrested and charged with carrying without a License and possession of unregistered ammunition.
