The Catholic Diocese of Brownsville is modifying COVID-19 restrictions for its parishes and mission churches. The diocese will no longer require face masks for those who are fully vaccinated, though it will be encouraged. Communion can also now be received on the tongue or in the hand.

The diocese is encouraging families to maintain about three-feet of distance as they sit in church pews during services. The relaxed rules take effect tomorrow.
