CDC Doc Warns Delta Variant Spreads Like Chickenpox


The CDC says the COVID-19 Delta variant surging across the U.S. appears to spread as easily as chickenpox. That data from an internal document was first reported by The Washington Post and confirmed by CDC Director Rochelle Walensky.

The internal document warns that fully vaccinated people might spread the Delta variant at the same rate as those who are not vaccinated. Walensky said Thursday, “we’re not crying wolf here, this is serious.”
