Chair Of Texas Public Utility Commissioner Resigns

Texas Public Utility Commissioner DeAnn Walker is off the job. She stepped down on Monday, hours after Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick called for her resignation over last month’s power outages following two winter storms.

Governor Greg Abbott says he appreciates the work she did, but it’s time for the Texas Legislature to make reforms to the power system.
