Two young children are expected to be OK after a heartbreaking discovery on the banks of the Rio Grande in South Texas.

Border Patrol agents say they found a two-year-old girl and a three-month-old who had been abandoned by smugglers earlier this week. The youngest was left in a car-seat and a note said that they are both from Honduras.

The Border Patrol says the children did not require medical attention and were transported to a substation for processing.
