Closed GOP Primary

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, along with the State Republican Party, has filed a joint motion to have the GOP primaries closed to anyone who is not formally affiliated with the party.

The intent is to keep non-Republicans from influencing elections. Currently any registered voter can vote in any primary.This would be a significant change for millions of voters if approved.
