Coast Guard, Border Patrol Rescue Two People From Rio Grande

Two people are safe after trying to swim across the Rio Grande River earlier this week. Border Patrol agents spotted a group of people trying to illegally enter the U.S. on Monday.

Two people from that group entered the river near Bentsen State Park in Mission and had to be rescued by the Coast Guard. Five people were taken to the Rio Grande Valley Central Processing Center following the encounter.
