The Texas Rangers are investigating the death of an inmate at the Bexar County jail as a homicide. The sheriff’s office says a deputy found Francisco Bazan unresponsive in his cell early Wednesday morning. After medical staff performed life-saving measures, Bazan was pronounced dead at 3:15 a.m.
The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine his cause and manner of death. Bazan’s death is the fourth at the jail this year. Bazan was arrested on March 28th for drug possession and evading arrest in a motor vehicle.
