COVID-19 Cases In Willacy County Drops After Double-Counting Error


Willacy County is providing an update on COVID-19 cases in the area. On Thursday, county officials announced that 27 confirmed cases of the coronavirus will be removed from the county’s total following a double-counting error.

The Texas Department of State Health Services notified Willacy County of the discrepancy on Wednesday. The total number of people in Willacy County who tested positive for COVID-19 is now one-thousand-171.
