COVID-19 Claims Life Of Longtime Cameron County District Clerk


COVID-19 has taken the life of another prominent person in the Rio Grande Valley. Longtime Cameron County District Clerk Aurora de la Garza has died from complications of COVID-19.

De la Garza’s family says she’d been in the hospital for several days before passing away Friday. De la Garza had been the district clerk for Cameron County for more than 33 years before leaving the post in 2013.
