Democratic Congressman Henry Cuellar is thanking President Trump for issuing pardons for him and his wife, Imelda. Cuellar and his wife were indicted in 2024 on charges of bribery and conspiracy.
Trump called the Cuellars’ prosecution politically motivated, saying the congressman was indicted because he opposed Biden-era immigration policies. Cuellar said Wednesday that the pardon won’t change his work in Congress or his upcoming campaign for re-election.
