Day Two Of Trial For Actor Accused Of Hate Crime Hoax

It’s day two of trial for an actor accused of staging a hate crime attack almost three years ago.

Prosecutors will begin calling witnesses against Jussie Smollett. During opening arguments, they said he hired two people to fake the attack at the expense of real victims.

But his attorneys claim he was indeed a victim and that a rush to judgment by police ruined his career. The case led to Smollet being written off the Fox TV show “Empire.”
