The Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a body was found in rural La Villa on Friday night. Deputies were called to a field on Highway 107 around 9:15 p.m.
The body was described as decomposed, and the crime scene unit was called in to process the area. Investigators are working to identify the person found and determine the cause and manner of death.
