A partial government shutdown centered on the Department of Homeland Security continues. It started when Congress withheld funding for DHS over the weekend over concerns about reforms to immigration enforcement. Lawmakers are now on a weeklong recess.
The shutdown primarily effects Transportation Security Administration, the Federal Emergency Management Agency, the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Agency, U.S. Secret Service and the U.S. Coast Guard.
