By The Justice Department is investigating whether the NFL is forcing fans to overpay to watch football games.
Fans now have to pay subscription costs to streaming platforms to see many NFL games, after years being able to see them for free on broadcast TV.
A government official told NBC News the federal probe is “about affordability for consumers and creating an even playing field for providers.”
