The Texas Department of Public Safety has seized millions of dollars in meth from a commercial truck in Hidalgo County.
DPS special agents were contacted by U.S. Customs and Border Protection on Monday. They believed a truck using the Pharr Point of Entry might be smuggling narcotics.
The DPS agents found a false compartment during a secondary inspection and discovered more than 390 bundles of suspected meth.
The street value of the drugs was estimated at more than two-point-four-million dollars. The truck driver was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance.
