DPS Arrests Four On Drug Charges In Roma

The Texas Department of Public Safety says four suspects have been arrested on drug charges following a chase in Roma.

A trooper tried to pull over two vehicles Wednesday for traffic violations, but both SUVs refused to stop. They eventually crashed into a brick wall, and the suspects in both vehicles tried to run.

Forty bundles of marijuana weighing nearly 500 pounds were found in the vehicles. DPS says the four people arrested are in the U.S. illegally and will face drug possession charges.
