DPS Presence On University Of Texas Campus To Increase After Rash Of Robberies


Governor Greg Abbott is assigning more state Public Safety officers to the University of Texas after a wave of recent robberies hit the campus.

A campus safety group had asked for help in light of the robberies on the West Campus, which included a violent home invasion.

Campus police say five cases are under investigation, four of which involved students. The suspects are described as two armed Black males driving a dark sedan-shaped car.
