The nation’s top infectious disease expert says a COVID-19 vaccine, whenever it becomes available, isn’t going to mean people no longer need to wear masks or practice social distancing.

Doctor Anthony Fauci held a Facebook Live conversation with New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy Thursday. He noted that no vaccine is going to be 100 percent effective, and won’t be taken by 100 percent of the population.

Doctor Fauci said he’d like to see 75 to 80 percent of the U.S. population get vaccinated.
