Rio Grande Valley drivers are being told to be careful as students head back to school.
The Edinburg Police Department addressed safety concerns in a social media post on Saturday. Drivers are being urged to watch out for school buses and always stop when bus lights are flashing.
Drivers should also slow down in school zones and watch for students in crosswalks. Police plan to increase their presence around school zones this week to check for speeding and distracted driving.
