Early Voting Sets First Day Record In Cameron County

Early voting in Cameron County sets a first day record. County elections administrator Remi Garza says around 10-thousand people voted in person yesterday, which is a new record.

The Brownsville Public Library and the Harlingen Convention Center were the two top polling sites in the county yesterday. Garza says over eleven-thousand registered voters have requested a mail-in ballot, which far surpasses the nearly 34-hundred that were requested for the 2016 elections.
