Edinburg Ends 2025 With No Homicides

Edinburg is celebrating an unusual crime-fighting achievement. No homicides happened in the city during 2025. It’s the first time in more than 30 years that the city has completed a calendar year without a homicide.

Edinburg saw a 16 percent drop in major crimes last year, with overall crime down 12 percent from 2024.
