Edinburg Lifts Boil Water Order

(Edinburg, TX)  —  The City of Edinburg says it’s no longer necessary to boil water coming out of the tap.  The city announced yesterday that it was lifting a boil water order issued earlier in the week.  The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the notice after freezing weather led to mass power outages, burst pipes and a drop in pressure in city-supplied water lines.  Edinburg officials say their water has now been laboratory tested and is safe for human consumption.
